Master FTO Program is a comprehensive, three-part education and training series designed to develop and elevate Field Training Officers into confident, capable, and influential public safety leaders. This program focuses on the evolution of the FTO role, from building foundational skills, to sharpening instructional techniques, to mastering leadership and mentoring within complex, high-stakes environments.
The series is perfect for those personnel using the FTO Model (San Jose Model), the PTO Model (Reno Model) or a combination of both. It is designed for both law enforcement and correctional personnel, whether you work for a municipal, county, state, or federal agency.
Remember, your FTO program isn’t just about training recruits, it’s about transforming FTOs into influential leaders. Across three dynamic phases, this program empowers trainers to move beyond checklists and evaluations, and into the realm of mentorship, leadership, and long-lasting organizational impact.
So what are the three phases?
This course is designed to strengthen the core responsibilities of the FTO role with a focus on adult learning, documentation, evaluation, and leading various generations.
